Just finished Endurence few days ago. Guys surviving in such conditions. Strugginling. Literary living through icy hell.
World now seems to be heading into a lot of turbulence and struggle. For some comparable to that what the crew of Endurence had to endure, for some not as bad but still worse than now.
But it is possible to pull through. You need to be able to have reliable people around you. You need to have aa leader you trust. You need to be resilient. And you need to have a lot of luck.
All the interesting and important stories are about people with a lot of luck. We usually never hear of those that just died or failed. It is kind of a survivorship bias situation.
There is not any morale here. Just do your best as long as you can. We are small compared to the world and naturaln forces. But if we do our best, we might end up in one of the stories with the good end.
Because the only patter in the nice stories is, that the people tried to do their best.
