Wanted to write this after the Eurovision but life got in a way even tough it is quite short one.
The winner Bangaranga by Dara was great. But it is interesting to see the progress of it. Here is the national final in Bulgaria
Catchy song. Nice choreography, but very simple one. Very eastern European costume. Ayway, it won, and an official video was made.
Obviously better sound quality, nicer costume, but still the very simple choreography and not really special. One thing you can notice tough is that visually Dara was taken care of very carefully, from hair through costumes to improved dancing.
Then the first semi-finals came and see if you can spot the difference.
Got it? Completely new look, production quality and everything. But mainly it has completely different vibe. Every detail fits to the beat, to the song. Backup dancers support the song much better than in nationals or clip. And lot of stuff you do not even notice as it is so seamless. Check this out.
Have you noticed in the original video, that the walls were not moving as they were rotating? I honestly did not, but it added greatly to the experience. And it was not the only thing. But Dara and the team did not end here. Here is the final.
Changes now are much less visible, a smile there, a look there, but it improves the experience still. It is hard to spot, so here you have it side by side.
Amazing. And I think very deserved win. And the winner performance on the spot was still great.
Presentation matters. Details matter. I do not think she would have won without the choreography and even without the small tweaks for the finals. Looking forward to the next Eurovision.
