It is sometimes ok to “be a dick”. To call out the elephant in the room. To say hard or inconvenient truth. If everyone stays silent, nothing will change.
But it is hard to be a dick. No one likes the feeling. This is where true leaders start to differentiate. True leaders do not mind being a dick. They still are bothered by that, but it does not stop them from pushing the right thing forward.
